Job Summary
Responsible for the education, supervision, and leadership of occupational health staff within assigned operating group. Responsible for management and oversight in the development, implementation, coordination and maintenance of occupational health programs for Centura Health. Serves as the expert and oversees regulatory compliance with all government agency regulations and requirements related to workplace safety and health. Coordination of Centura worker compensation programs and activities designed to prevent, assess and treat work-related injuries and hazardous exposures. Responsible for ensuring appropriate coordination of worker compensation claims, first report of injury, accident investigation, and return to work and modified duty programs. Role functions include management of human, fiscal, material, support, and system resources. Demonstrates a high level of integrity, willingness to take on new challenges and has the ability to inspire and empower staff

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:  

Minimum Experience Requirements

• 5 years supervisory experience in Occupational Health for candidates with an Associate's Degree in Nursing
• 1 year of supervisory experience or 5 years progressive experience in Occupational Health (to include blood bornepathogen exposure management; immunizations; communicable diseases; knowledge of workers’ compensation procedures, regulations and claims management) for candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Experience in or knowledge of working within established budget parameters.
  In-depth knowledge of OSHA, FMLA, and ADAAA legislation.

Education Requirement

• Associate's degree in nursing 
• BSN preferred 

License/Certifications Requirement 

• Current RN license in applicable state of work or current RN license from a participating state in National Licensure Compact for eligible states
• BLS through American Heart Association 
• COHN or COHN-S certification within one year of hire
• CAOHC certification within one year of hire

Physical Requirements 

Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to
10lbs force occasionally)
