We care for adult patients 18 and older who are being treated for a variety of medical diagnoses. Since March 2020, our unit has been dedicated to the care of the COVID patient. We see patients with a wide variety of diagnoses, who are also COVID positive.
Our patients are unique because of their diverse diagnoses and specialized medical needs.
One of the perks of working on my unit is the rare opportunity to be a part of a brand new unit and have an impact on the unit's growth. With 37 beds, we are the largest unit within Vanderbilt University Hospital.
Our nurses are successful because they have strong assessment and communication skills, rely on each for support, and adapt easily to new challenges.
