Tenet Healthcare has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Director, Managed Care Economics to join our tenured corporate team. This is an in-office role at our corporate HQ in north Dallas. The Director is involved in the support of all areas of Managed Care Tenet Physician Resources (TPR) contracting from negotiations support, contract administration, financial reporting, modeling, and strategic placement of annual rate escalators to maximize return to Tenet, CDM strategies under Tenet�s contracts, and enhancing auto-adjudication and collections improvements. The Director acts as an internal consultant, managing and providing ongoing anlysis of the managed care relationship between our employed providers (Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers) and the commercial payer contract negotiators.
General duties include: financial modeling and analysis for negotiations, analysis of payor trends, statistical and budget reporting (monthly & quarterly). Also responsible for the daily production activities of the Managed Care Analyst(s) and works closely with TPR to ensure all managed care claims are contractualized accurately to net realizable/collectible values which is essential to accurately reflecting A/R. Also serves as lead finance for all large and multi-facility projects such as A/R settlements, contract structure conversions, conditional contract increase provisions, coding updates, etc. Is critical to the accurate rate placement by payor, by facility, by service type for all facilities under his/her span of control. High volume, highly visible role that includes high level of engagement with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization, up to and including executive teams.

- 5-10 years of financial/ analytical / accounting experience in physician operations and contracting environment
- Degree preferred but experience considered in place of degree where applicable
- Strong Database skills � to manage multi-million line claims database
- Prior use of TriZetto, nThrive or MedAssets systems are a plus
- Modeling expertise, primarily using excel
- Intuitive sense of contracts and commoditized versus non-commoditized hospital service lines
- CDM analysis and pricing expertise
- A team player with strong multi-tasking skills
- Detail-oriented
