**This is a part-time/non-exempt term position lasting six months to one year** *

JOB SUMMARY:

This position will serve as a Project Coordinator of the Tennessee Initiative for Perinatal Quality Care (TIPQC) focused on the Opioid Use Disorder in Pregnant Women and the Opioid Exposed Newborn Initiatives. This initiative will assist participating Tennessee birthing hospitals and nurseries in setting up systems to provide patients best care practices regarding this epidemic.

Participating hospitals will work together to:

  • implement best practice protocols,
  • develop strategies to facilitate mother-baby dyad care
  • understand and map various state resources for this population
  • improve provider and patient education on care for these women and children with special emphasis on non-pharmacological management of OENs in facilitates state-wide based research and quality improvement initiatives to improve pregnancy and neonatal outcomes in birthing hospitals across the state by providing: opportunities for collaborative learning, rapid response data and hospital team QI support.

Additional Key Elements/ Responsibilities:

Key Functions

  • Serve as administrative, QI, and educational support to the state medical director, state Nursing QI consultant, state project director, data and advisory groups as well as support all local hospital teams.
  • Coordinate efforts with ACOG's Alliance for Innovation in Maternal Health (AIM).
  • Create and update slides, including data, for presentations at multiple levels.
  • Work on website development/maintenance, branding and event planning for statewide events, as well as education resources for teams such as videos, etc.
  • Assist with producing grant reports to funding organizations.

This project will also include IPPLARC sustainment. Responsibilities of this position fall into three main areas:

  • project coordination;
  • education and spread throughout the state of best practices;
  • collaborative communications
