The VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardio Thoracic Physician Assistant (PA) to serve in our Surgical/Peri-Operative Service. The PA will provide Pre-operative, Peri-operative and Post-Operative care of Surgical Patients in both inpatient and Outpatient setting, Typical duties include but are not limited to: Harvest Sapheous vein and assist in all cardiac surgeries Manage immediate post-op patients and in house patients Pull chest tubes and epicardal pacing wires, Discontinue Pa catheters, Insert femoral arterial and venous line, Discontinue and manage balloon pumps Attend and contribute catch lab conference Attend and contribute to M&M, History and Physicals, and post op care management in clinic Order and interpret diagnosti
