Overview

St. Luke's Children's Hospital is seeking a BC/BE pediatric infectious disease specialist for a part-time clinical position, to join our dedicated team of 2 experienced physicians in Boise, Idaho. This position is primarily focused on inpatient pediatric infectious disease consultation service, with occasional need for outpatient clinic coverage, all on the Boise campus. Our team manages the full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient pediatric ID diagnoses, solid organ transplant, oncology and bone marrow transplant patients. The Children's Infections and Immune Deficiency Clinic provides long term care for children with HIV/AIDS, and for those with primary immunodeficiency disorders, in addition to acute infectious disease management and hospital follow-up care.

When on call, this physician will be responsible for routine ID consultative services, as well as telephone consultation with other physicians/providers, and as needed for urgent hospital infection control issues. This position includes shared holiday call with the other practice partners, and overnight call responsibility when on hospital service. Options may exist for combined roles as pediatric hospitalist, adult infectious disease, or other specialties.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about teaching and supervising medical students and residents on the peds ID rotation. Clinical faculty appointment is available with the University of Washington Medical School.
