Gastroenterology Advanced Practice Nurse

Bend, Oregon

Summit Health is seeking a GI Advanced Practice Nurse who would like the opportunity to join a thriving practice within a financially secure, physician-driven, multispecialty setting.

As an expansion of Summit Health's Gastroenterology Department, we are seeking an APN to join our team. Our team works closely with primary care, urgent care and other medical and surgical specialties to provide excellent quality care to members of our community. Our team consists of four gastroenterologists, three PA's, and is supported by a strong care team and support services. This position is a blend of outpatient and inpatient GI care. Out GI team is supported by an excellent and collaborative hospitalist team.

Responsibilities Include:

• Evaluation and management of patients in clinic and hospital settings
• Assisting with inbasket management and timely response to patient inquiries
• Coordination of care and referral to related specialties such as Oncology, Surgery, Infectious Disease and other specialties
• Ordering diagnostic tests, imaging review, interpreting lab results including drug screens and medication management
