Nemours is seeking an Associate Director, Constituent Strategies (philanthropic writing) to join our team in Orlando, FL!

The Associate Director, Constituent Strategies, reporting to the Senior Director, Constituent Strategies is a writer and strategist who provides top-level communication collateral, relationship-building research, and effective strategy in all media channels to raise principal and major gifts. This position supports the Fund team in all fundraising efforts, partnering with the Executive Director, Fund Operations; regional Chief Development Officers; Directors of Campaign, Corporate Alliance, and Special Events; Major Gift Officers; and others who require effective messaging to optimize and streamline success.

Essential Functions:

1. Develop creative narratives with other fundraisers to communicate urgent and compelling funding priorities for the Enterprise.
2. Assist in the creation and refinement of the Nemours "brand" and be able to both write and design proposals to meet the sophisticated nature of prospective principal and major gift donors in the most attractive and compelling product possible.
3. Other writing responsibilities will include -- but are not limited to -- talking points for events, articles for Nemours Fund team publications, letters of inquiry, departmental/project overviews, case statements, and various donor letters.
4. Attend meetings with a broad cross section of Nemours stakeholders including associates, executives, volunteers, and donors, developing ideas and content first-hand.
5. Aid other team members with brainstorming for their special projects and careful proofing and editing of projects for others.
6. Proactively create proposals for Nemours priorities and develop strategies in partnership with the Directors of Campaigns, Corporate Alliance, and Special Events.
7. Help personalize letters, including stewardship activities, in the correct "voice" for strong relationship building.
8. Attend strategy sessions and help others think through relationships, links, capacity, and affinity - within and without the institution.

9. Stay current with Nemours funding opportunities, priorities, and program growth to make appropriate recommendations for proposals.

Job Qualifications:

1. Bachelors Degree required
2. 1-3 years of related experience required
