Physicist
Job Summary: The Medical Physicist at WMCHealth provides all reasonable aspects of Medical Physics support to Radiation Therapy as a scientific and technical expert for the department. The physicist assures safe, effective, and accurate delivery of radiation to achieve desirable therapeutic results as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist, by applying AAPM, ASTRO, and ACR recommendations. They must produce clear, appropriate documentation and communication to ensure high-quality patient care. This position maintains all applicable regulatory compliance and participates as needed in radiation safety efforts for the department and the Health System.
