Overview
President, St. Luke's Clinic Medical Group
With direct accountability to the Chief Physician Executive and in dyad partnership with the Vice President, Operations for the St. Luke's Clinic, the President leads the System Service Line Medical Directors in the optimization of clinical performance, fostering a culture that inspires innovation and clinical excellence while supporting an environment of belonging and wellbeing. The President of the St. Luke's Clinic Medical Group must be a dynamic leader with the ability to combine clinical expertise with strategic leadership to influence the health system's overall direction and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Shares overall accountability for the performance of the St. Luke's Clinic with the VP Operations of the St. Luke's Clinic, focusing on clinical performance and physician/APP culture.
- Leads the clinical performance of the St. Luke's Clinic, assuring results that support system, network, and health plan balanced performance targets.
- Leads and fosters an interdisciplinary culture of clinical excellence, belonging and wellbeing, supporting physician and APP practices to achieve this.
- Serves as the accountable physician leader overseeing the St. Luke's Clinic Physician and APP interactions with the health system (recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and development).
- Manages and leads the System Medical Directors.
- With the VP Operations, develops a coordinated multi-service line clinical strategy for the St. Luke's Clinic to facilitate system, network, and health plan balanced performance targets.
- Leads the provider compensation program to continuously align the program with overall strategic population health goals.
- Provides leadership and administrative direction for cross-cutting medical group policies and standards through the System Medical Directors and/or other officers of the SLC.
- Develop and oversee an appropriate meeting and decision-making structure which is aligned with operational governance at the system and population health area levels.
- Maintains a part-time clinical practice.
Requirements:
This position requires a degree from an accredited school of Medicine or Osteopathy, as well as successful completion of an accredited residency program. Successful candidates must be board certified and have at least 10 years of clinical practice experience as well as demonstrated progressive leadership roles within a healthcare organization(s). This position will also require the ability to obtain membership as a licensed physician (MD/DO) on St. Luke's Medical Staff.
