Neonatology Nurse Practitioner - Full Time, Part Time and Per Diem Positions Available
Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center is a 40 bed Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with advanced care capabilities caring for critically ill and premature babies.
Opportunity Information:
The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of neonatologists, neonatal-perinatal fellows, pediatric residents, neonatal PAs and neonatal nurse practitioners, nurses, dieticians, respiratory therapists, social workers, pediatric pharmacists, physical therapists, case managers, lactation consultants and speech language pathologists to care for complex neonatal ICU patients.
Responsibilities include:
-Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team providing comprehensive care
-Evaluate and treat newborns in the NICU in collaboration with neonatal attendings
-Attend high risk deliveries and provide appropriate stabilization
-Evaluate newborns in the well baby nursery for conditions requiring elevation of care
-Performs therapeutic interventions as appropriate for care of neonatal patients
-Provide family centered care and communicate effectively with health care teams and families
-Adhere to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies
-Participate in NICU transport team
Qualifications
-Nurse Practitioner License and Neonatal NP (NNP) certification
