Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesDignity Health at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center (SJHMC) in alignment with the Dignity Health Cancer Institute (DHCI), Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG), and Creighton School of Medicine is seeking a talented and dedicated Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Surgical Oncologist to join our dynamic and growing oncology department. We envision a key role for an individual with a specific and profound interest in the advanced surgical management of breast cancer, melanoma, and sarcoma.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering comprehensive, cutting-edge surgical care for patients facing these complex malignancies. This role offers the exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment where you will partner with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, plastic surgeons, genetic counselors, and other specialists to develop individualized treatment plans and ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
We are looking for a surgeon who is not only adept at performing intricate oncologic resections but also committed to a holistic approach to patient care, encompassing pre-operative planning, post-operative management, and long-term surveillance. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a passion for innovation, a commitment to research and surgical advancements in their sub-specialties, and a track record of excellent communication with both patients and colleagues. Our academic involvement with the Creighton University Arizona Health Education Alliance residency programs also continues to grow.

Job Requirements- Have a current AZ Medical License or be eligible for an Arizona State Medical License as an MD or DO
- Board Certified or board eligible (for new graduates)
- Become an essential member of a team of physicians with the goal of building a top tier centrally located practice in Phoenix
- Have the ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at SJHMC and Dignity Health Arizona hospitals
- Be passionate about providing clinically excellent, evidence-based care
- Have an interest in clinical research and teaching
- Willing to abide by and promote the mission and values of Dignity Health and CommonSpirit Health
- Demonstrate the ability to develop effective and respectful relationships with colleagues, staff, patients and other persons from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
